(28) I drive a truck
Do you know some restaurant owners and caterers? We know a truck driver who delivers frozen food products to restaurants and caterers. He made a connection with a major frozen cheesecake manufacturer and arranged to buy all their imperfect cakes at 50 cents cash per cake. He ended up with several thousand high-quality cheesecakes each year and traded these to restaurants and caterers at a price of $12 to $15 per cake in trade. Our truck driver had some storage costs as it was necessary to keep the cakes in a frozen locker which he rented at a commercial facility. Many restaurants and caterers jumped at the opportunity to buy this way and save cash. This was an excellent example of what can happen when we spot someone else's vanishing inventory. Our truck driver knew that the cheesecake manufacturer had been throwing most of the imperfect cakes (their vanishing inventory) in the garbage after giving a few to local charities. Our truck driver had extra time on his hand (his vanishing inventory) not utilized by his regular work driving the truck. The restaurants all had table some tables not occupied (their vanishing inventory) during lunch and dinners. This arrangement became a win-win situation for everyone. With restaurant Private Trade Dollars or gift certificates to trade, our truck driver was able to fulfill many needs for other products and services. Never forget that trading a product or service to someone is much, much easier than selling the same product to them for cash. People generally jump at the opportunity to trade and save their cash. Once we fully understand that the Private Trade Dollar System trading is entirely new business for both parties using time and space not taken up with cash business, and not a substitute for a cash sale by anyone, we will know its power.
